During my second internship, which focused on "Lean Manufacturing," I had the incredible opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the inner workings of a company. This invaluable experience allowed me to witness the practical operations of various machines and observe the precision and expertise exhibited by each department.Within the company, I had the chance to explore and investigate different machines, including CNC machines, 3-axis machines, 4-axis machines, and 5-axis machines. By studying these machines closely, I developed a deep understanding of their functionalities and the role they play in the manufacturing process.

Furthermore, I had the privilege of interacting with different departments within the company. These departments included BPC, VMC, Design (CAD and CAM), Finishing, Coating, Quality, and Dispatch. Through this exposure, I gained comprehensive knowledge of how each department contributes to the overall functioning of the company. I witnessed the collaboration and synchronisation among these departments, realising that their seamless integration is vital for the success of any organisation.During my time at the company, I actively engaged with engineers and team members, posing thought-provoking questions to better understand their roles, challenges, and pain points. By listening attentively and observing keenly, I acquired insights into the issues they faced in their day-to-day work. Motivated to make a positive impact, I formulated potential solutions to address their pain points. I had the opportunity to share these solutions through presentations, effectively communicating my ideas and recommendations to the engineers and other stakeholders.

This experience allowed me to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation. I witnessed the intricacies of a functioning company and gained a profound appreciation for the importance of efficient processes, teamwork, and problem-solving within an industrial setting. These experiences have not only enhanced my technical understanding but also refined my ability to analyse complex scenarios and offer innovative solutions.Overall, my internship in "Lean Manufacturing" provided me with valuable hands-on experience and a holistic perspective on the inner workings of a company. It further strengthened my passion for optimising processes, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement within organisations.
